"Train up a child in the way he should go;
even when he is old he will not depart from it."
Equipping our Youth is crucial, not only so they build a strong faith, but so they can be more effective at building relationships outside of the church body and being contagious with their faith! We will have an environment that is full of God’s love and welcoming for all who have a desire to learn, celebrate and take in the living water. Our hope is that your child from toddler to teen will walk away filled with a refreshed and blessed by our Heavenly Father.
For this year, we will have 2 main groups: Preschool through 5th grade and then 6th grade and up. We also added another category entitled "helpers" who provided leadership and guidance to the youngest group. They were so greatly appreciated we very much want to do that again this year! Each group will have an opportunity to dig deeper into their own faith and an environment enable great discussions about their growing faith.
The younger set will meet before services on 4 days for children's church. Last year the younger set were frogs and turtles learning to Fully Rely On God while crossing a swamp and gathering the fruits of the spirit. The program was titled "Traveling Friends" and there were many lessons learned on the way. Bogs, and tunnels and mosquitoes - oh my! This year, the theme is True Super Heroes -- the Godly League.
Doug Eisenschenk will once again direct the older group. Some new activities are being planned, but the outcome will be the same: a deepened relationship with God and Jesus, a greater understanding of what God really wants from each of us and a deepening appreciation for the power of God living in us.
